GMC Homepage Redesign
I had the chance to lead the redesign of the GMC homepage in 2025. With the redesign, the site’s readability improved & elevated the brand’s design identity that led to an overhaul of their model pages. Along with an update to the Line up experience, the JD Power review for the homepage skyrocketed and user reviews came back overwhelmingly positive.
This was the first major project I was assigned when I started on GM Site work, and boy howdy it was tough. GMC’s JP Power reviews, and user reviews were low; the number one thing that brought these reviews down was readability and structure. So I focused on hierarchy and story telling, making sure do define rules that are easy to follow and please clients. All the while, ensuring the design itself enhanced the GMC branding.
The other challenge was the previous site did not have a great flow to it, sections needed to flow into one another to encourage user engagement. This was achieved by creating new standards for the sites masthead, and redesigning the model walk. Now the site feels as if its a singular experience rather than legos stacked on top of each other.
