Sanction Coffee Roasters

For this branding project, the client was starting their own roasting company. The roasters goal was to celebrate women, who are a minority in the coffee world, even though the majority of those working in coffee farms are women. Each bag of coffee sold, proceeds from the purchase go to charities helping women around the world.

“Women have always been doing this work, we need to honor this and promote their hard work in a world wide commerce.”

Additionally, as you might see, the client wanted the brand to reflect a certain part of femininity. Their brief was “Vulva, evocative, warm, and inviting.” So with this in mind, the brand needed to be clever, not too graphic to offend potential customers and subtle enough for folks to recognize the playful nature of the branding. This led to the final result of the branding being mixed images of coffee beans, drip coffee, and warm feminine colors.
